Jburn (Twitter @supportjburn) is a Music Artist/NFT Artist - Producer/Rapper who lives in Florida. I’m just a casual dude from Europe who accidently ended up in crypto and collecting music NFTs. It was September 27th, 2021, when I clicked the cover picture of Honestly by Jburn at Hic et Nunc marketplace on Tezos. I’ll tell you how I ended up from there to owning 99 Jburn NFTs. I also wanted to include many Jburn's visual collaborators in this story because without their artwork I would have never bought so many.

Prologue

I’ve always been keen to collecting things whether it is hockey cards or CDs. I used love browsing CDs at local record store. I had my albums displayed at home and I would go through my collection and choose what to listen. I’ve always been into rock music, but I’ll listen anything that feels right. That was late '90s, early 2000s. Fast forward some years and first Spotify took over record markets and then my wife took CDs to basement.

Fast forward again to early 2021 and somehow, I’ve ended up in a world of crypto, NFTs and finally music NFTs. First stop was TopShot, then crypto in general, in summer ’21 I got into NFTs (no, of course I didn’t buy Ape, I’m not that smart).

Somewhere around summer ‘21 I started looking for art NFTs and around August I saw a video of Tezos blockchain. I ended up browsing a marketplace on Tezos. It was called Hic et Nunc. At that time there were only thumbnails next to each other on the webpage. You had to click the picture to see the artist, edition size and most of all if it’s actually visual or music NFT.

It was September 27th, 2021, when I clicked cover of Honestly by Jburn at Hic et Nunc on Tezos. I listened to it and bought it and the few more. That was the start. Since then, I’ve casually collected NFT after NFT and along the way one day Jburn accidentally promised to do live show in Europe (I’m in Finland) if I ever reach 100 NFTS. At the moment I have 99. Before getting to that 100 I thought about recollect this trip.

So, here are in chronological order (by the time of the purchase) all NFTs by Jburn I possess at the moment. It’s also a throwback to different seasons and trends in this hectic crypto/NFT world. I've included title, date of purchase and blockchain.

You might see some names here and there. They refer to their Twitter handles since most of the action is there.

Song by Song

1. Honestly, 27.9.2021, TEZ

I clicked on this one because of the cover. I thought it could be music. I liked the song and wanted to buy it knowing nothing about the artist himself. But it sounded like he was on his way.

2. Killed The Beat, 27.9.2021, TEZ

On the same day I purchased Killed The Beat as well. Price was low. Dope beats but cover art not that nice. We can hear young Jburn on this one.

3. Wondering While Wondering 27.9.2021 TEZ

I suppose it’s Jburn himself on the cover art with wings and all. If I remember correctly Jburn reached out to me in Twitter DMs after I bought these three and said thanks for buying but wasn’t pushing anything more. Smart move because that way collector feels welcome and noticed, but not pressured.

After buying in tweeted: “Bought my first music NFTs. I saw them on #hicetnunc. Browsing http://hicetnunc.xyz is one trippy adventure. Couldn't figure out how to listen to NFTs that are in my Kukai wallet. But I eventually found way to download music from website - old school! @SupportJburn #tezosNFT

Yeah, at that point I thought that I also wanted to download music pieces I have as an NFT. I quit that after three songs. But to be honest one reason was the inability to easily play your NFTs. Even today I mostly use Spotify to listen to the songs I have as an NFT. And that’s natural. You don’t buy NFTs to listen to the song.

4. Free Weed, 4.10.2021, TEZ

One week after first purchases I really hadn’t’ up come up with any other music NFTs. Since I liked collecting, I bought more Jburn stuff. Song never hit me that good, but that’s fine.

5. Anything Is Possible, 20.10.2021, TEZ

Still just collecting because it was affordable and fun.

6. Hello, 30.10.2021, TEZ

Once you start buying and you can afford it, it’s hard to stop. Found this smooth song and bought two. Still have two pieces actually. Anyone want to buy one? Also, by listening to lyrics you might start seeing who the man behind the music is and what pushes him doing music and grinding forward.

7. High As Fuck, 31.10.2021, TEZ

New day, new NFT. If I remember correctly Jburn dropped me this one for free. Another smart move. I didn’t’ feel like I have to buy something in return. Pay attention to your collectors the right way. You lure them in.

8. Thru The Night, 31.10.2021, TEZ

I bought this one because it was such a good song. Still top 10 to me. Price was way higher than older ones, originally 24 edition, 5 tez each. Jburn ended up burning 20 after 5 were bought. Later on, I learned that he might burn editions at any time. You could make good deals buying before burning.

At the time I tweeted: “Remember walking into an actual record store? Did you ever buy or listen to a cd or lp based purely on cover art? Well it's like that with @hicetnunc2000 You see cover art first and then decide whether you want to listen or not. Artists should remember this.

9. No Peace, 31.10.2021, TEZ

Another song that slaps hard af. Top 5 to me. At this point Jburn’s music was beginning to grow on me. In general, NFT space things were moving lightspeed and prices were astronomical. Not much attention to music NFTs at least on Tezos. Jburn didn’t’ officially have road map or any long-term plans expect never quitting. That was enough for me. I felt like I should follow this dude, he’s talented and serious enough to make it with music NFTs.

At this time, I also found @rocknitty music NFTs. Since then, I’ve collected quite many from him as well and I highly recommend checking out his songs as well.

10. Abundance, 6.11.2021, TEZ

Turning point. Collaboration with a visual artist. Brilliant move in my opinion. By this point Tezos NFTs were getting attraction and visual artists were making sales. Jburn hooked up with @Artikudee. I remember listening to their Twitter Spaces on the day this one was minted. If I’m not mistaken there were quite a lot of people tuning in. Piece sold out with 63 editions at 1,6 tez each. Tezos was about 6$ at that time. 63 pieces are minted on Artikudee’s account and they are named “Abundance”. Jburn minted this gold standard edition and named it accidentally “Adundance”. Well, he just has to live with this misspell since info on blockchain is immutable.

11. Special, 6.11.2021, TEZ

One of the few music videos. Jburn sent me this. We had to wait until 2022 to see the next one.

12. Selfish, 11.11.2021, TEZ

Second collab, this time with @ezraigor aka Igor Pang. Short and sweet. I liked visual as well and later bought few of Ezra’s pieces. Happy to see he’s still active and pretty popular as well.

I tweeted “Art x 2. Music and abstract drawing come together. Only 2 $xtz. This is affordable. No gas fees.”

13. Away, 16.11.2021, TEZ

I got this as a free drop from Jburn. This one is from the web2 album called Journey. I learned that some other pieces I snagged earlier were also from this album. I’ve been trying make me mind on how I feel about artists minting their older music or visual art that has already been made public one way or another way before minting. To me it’s actually not that appealing to buy older stuff minted later. Not sure why. To me it feels more authentic if artist makes art ‘straight to blockchain’.

14. WGMI, 19.11.2021, TEZ

We see and hear web3 language in Jburn’s music and visuals. In November ’21 it really was WGMI all the time. Perhaps this song was meant to be a little bit sarcastic. Art seems to be done by the man himself.

In October ’21 I joined Jburn’s Discord. It was pretty empty (mostly me and @Acam11 along with Jburn) at that point but slowly it has become a great place to follow what he’s been up to and also talk to fellow collectors occasionally. By the way I was glad that we never had to grind in Discord to get some WL for next song. I might have done if asked. Please artists, never do that.

15. Exchange, 25.11.2021, TEZ

Second collaboration with @Artikudee. Art is lit again. One of my favorite songs by Jburn at that time.

At this time, I also made my first oncyber.io gallery and it was dominated by Jburn.

16. OBJKTs, 1.12.2021, TEZ

This super dope collab with @Pixantle was dropped to biggest collectors. Only one of ten has been sold since. Diamond hands.

17. Insatiable, 1.12.2021, TEZ

Second Jburn of the day. I purchased this glitch art by @Devilsx666 and got music at the same time or is it vice versa. Later Jburn joined forces with Devilsx666 on Legacy Tape as well. First glimpse of glitch in Jburn's collection. Or was Free Weed the first?

18. King's Dream, 6.12.2021, TEZ

My first 1/1. Jburn had listed this for 15 tez already in November. At that time XTZ was around 5$, so maybe price scared buyers away. Anyway, I listened this song time and time again and finally decided to get it.

19. Changes, 7.12.2021, TEZ

This NFT was the first in a Mini Series called Burn to Earn, where collectors burn 10 of Jburn’s non music objkts to claim a special 1/1. You perhaps didn’t know that Jburn had also minted all kinds of visual art and he was trying to get them burned 😊 Well I bought some for cheap and got this 1/1. Jburn would draw the cover art based on my request. As a huge fan of David Bowie I asked for Aladdin Sane. I have this pic in my Twitter banner.

20. Run It Up, 7.12.2021, TEZ

Third 1/1 in a row. At first it was a 1/15, but nobody else bought this one and Jburn burned 14. You never know if he’s gonna burn any or when it’s gonna happen. That makes it interesting but sometimes also frustrating. Also, here Jburn is trying new style with visuals – I still preferred collabs tbh. Lyrics are very web3 oriented.

21. Faded, 8.12.2021, TEZ

10 editions for 2,5 tez each so 1 piece was about 10$ at the time. Nowadays if tez is at 1$, you might find Jburn on primary at 10-15 tez for edition on 20. It must be difficult for artists to price their stuff when crypto goes up and down.

22. Gamble, 17.12.2021, TEZ

In the hindsight title was very spot on when it came to crypto at that time. It was all just a big gamble and game of musical chairs. Jburn describes this piece as follows “I'm all in and I never bluff...”. Art by @MrNoise023 is spot on. Mr.Noise is still doing strong.

23. Please Don't Be Me, 23.12.2021, TEZ

Late ’21 I bought some older stuff from secondary. This song is older stuff. Some weird-ass video here. But to me this sounds authentic, and lyrics probably tell you how Jburn felt at the time of the recording.

24. Lifestyle, 23.12.2021, TEZ

It was Christmas time and I wanted to buy myself some gifts. Music NFTs work well for this purpose. Song was minted in September, but I bought it from primary. I like the beat on this one. Sounds is bit different from most of Jburn’s pieces.

So, I ended up owning 24 NFTs by Jburn by the end of 2021. That degen collecting mode was starting to kick in. I could feel it.

In 31.12.2021 I tweeted “Recap of 2021 in crypto.

First contact: NBA Topshot

First investment: BTC

Best crypto: No idea

Best advice: Take profits

Best art: @therealLitjesus and @mellback7

Best project:

@cryptodadsNFT

Most bullish on going into 2022:

@supportjburn

- just listen to "No Peace"

25. New Heights, 2.1.2022, TEZ

During holidays you always have time to buy new NFTs. Yet I missed the primary sale and bought from secondary. Still only 2 tez.

26. Peaceful, 3.1.2022, TEZ

Jburn playing with visuals again with this one and with Obvious. It’s cool though. Can’t have collab always.

27. Obvious, 5.1.2022, TEZ

I actually really liked this soft-hearted song. Only five editions (Jburn burned 10 about 24 hours after mint). I actually bought two and later sold one on secondary to @MVDinDSM. Later on, he would buy lots of dope-ass pieces by Jburn and is a top-notch collector. Jburn himself doing the visuals.

28. Again, 18.1.2022, TEZ

Just buying NFTs. It’s my hobby now.

29. Dope Raps, 24.1.2022, TEZ

I acquired this piece way late as it was minted 26.10.2021. It seems that @misanharriman bought 3/5 in late October. I made an offer of 5 tez and luckily he sold me one.

Jburn working with glitch style. Best of his visual so far. I suppose XCopy is his visual idol. When could we see these two join forces and come up with something everlasting.

30. Fabrication, 11.2.2022, TEZ

Mid-January 2022 Jburn started to promote new Micro Album (8 new songs at 10 editions for 10 tez each). He even posted some videos of him practicing the songs for the live performance taking place on Twitter Space 11th of February. He collaborated with different Tezos artist and was able to present us decent Micro Album with dope cover art. At this point I started to really think about the value of collabs. How was he even able to get to many people onboard? Had anyone else done anything like this before. Probably not. Why music artist in web3 don’t do this more often. The collectors are more than happy to get to pieces of art at price of one.

I collected three songs at this point.

I still remember that when I heard this song for the first time, I knew Micro Album can’t be anything but dope. “The work that I put in, it’s really worth millions, the sh*t that I'm building is really worth billions.

Very skilled visuals by @itzamahel Glad to see him still doing art in web3.

31. Rap Songs, 11.2.2022, TEZ

Second one I bought on the concert day. I liked the visual by @tankussart combined with lyrics.

I wasn’t really sure what to expect from the concert. Jburn had four guest artists performing first. For example @JameeCornelia. When I once asked Jburn hip hop artist he could recommend, his instant reply was Jamee. When duo btw? This was first time hearing Jburn live. I suppose he was pretty nervous as he ran through the track pretty fast. Maybe not his best performance. Since then, I’ve tried to make him practice and perform more. Because in the end many people wanna hear you live at some point.

32. Swollen, 12.2.2022, TEZ

Bought this one next day. I was so impressed by the effort @pinxx888 put into this piece. Also, the song has a good grip.

33. Captain, 7.3.2022, TEZ

Bought this from the secondary. I put out some lowball offers and got this one pretty cheap. It was about colleting. Song never stuck with me. That’s one side of collecting a lot, some songs just don’t get my attention even I collect them. Sometimes you start to question yourself, maybe I shouldn’t buy every song possible.

34. Cloud Walker, 19.3.2022, TEZ

I got this one from secondary as well.

35. Bumps, 23.3.2022, TEZ

One more from secondary. It’s like collecting hockey cards back in the day, you try to fill in the blanks in your card album. Of course with NFTs there’s not really an album to fill but there could be if somebody created multichain album/platform.

36. Mezzy, 28.3.2022, TEZ

Jburn with visual again. Pretty regular drop.

37. 1994, 29.3.2022, TEZ

This came out in December, but I was able to get this from secondary. At this point probably bear market was already at least around the corner since people were selling NFTs pretty easily. Visual by Cosmic Hands aka AleciaTV !

38. ATHs, 30.3.3022, TEZ

One of my definitely top 10 songs. And this was a free drop for the biggest collectors. Such a banger. And art is by @ZafGod who was at that point already pretty famous and has become even more popular. I even got an offer on 100 tez pretty much the same day but didn’t sell.

39. Indefinite, 12.4.2022, TEZ

Jburn’s first collab with @Metaindreams. I had built a habit of buying some art from most of the artist Jburn teamed up with with if I liked the art. Picked up some art my MetaDreams later on. So in a way Jburn was my way into art NFTs on Tezos - I just hope he has good taste.

By the way have you noticed how often collaborators draw Jburn in the picture? Somebody do the math and let me know.

40. Glamour, 14.4.2022, TEZ

First collab between Jburn and @Adeliavsaa. I remember Jburn speaking highly of her. Beautiful visuals. Later on, I bought few of her pieces. This was sold through offers. Ever since Jburn has used this sales tactic many times.

41. Extras!, 14.4.2022, TEZ

This one was dropped to collectors of Micro Album. Four songs that didn’t make it to the Micro Album. Maybe a forgotten gem, I should listen to this again.

42., Lately, 12.5.2022, TEZ

Next three songs (Lately, Talk and Work) had the beautiful cover art by Jburn. But for some reason I remember a lot better the pieces with collab on visuals. Lately is pretty good jam as well, a bit older stuff.

43. Talk, 12.5.2022, TEZ

Another cheap edition to the collection. From Journey album.

44. Separation 12.6.2022, TEZ

I had missed this collab with @MrLakon early January in the anticipation of Micro Album. You can see MrLakon’s style on this one. Got this one of the secondary for 10 tez. Pretty good deal. I like the intro on this one, very good piece of art all in all.

45. Mr. Howling Thunder, 13.6.2022, TEZ

Another collaborative work by MrLakon and Jburn, minted in March. Buying visuals and vocals this good for 5tez was no brainer. And of course, we are getting to the point whereas a collector I’m almost addicted getting every non 1/1 piece.

Earlier Jburn was trying to make a breakthrough on ETH, but it didn’t work out and he minted lots of 1/1s on Tezos in late May, June 2022. As a collector I of course wanted to buy some, but prices were pretty high for me. Back then I didn’t look 1/1s in the same as today. Nowadays I’m starting to value them even higher.

46. Fore More Years, 30.6.2022, TEZ

Putting offers on those older pieces. Go this one from secondary. Also, around this time I bought second editions of Honestly, Killed The Beat and Thru The Night.

47. Long Way, 11.7.2022, TEZ

The begging of an era. The Never Ending Album – every collector’s dream and nightmare at the same time.

At this point the whole market was going down, but I was relatively happy buying art and music NFTs. It was the one good thing in crypto. If you wanna know how Jburn felt about his career in NFT so far you should probably listen to this. I remember enjoying summer evening with a beer in my hand and listening to this song. I felt good. Visual by @clichedraws are very dope and memorable.

I remember that at the same time many artists were dropping hip hop on Tezos and collected from quite many artists. For short period of time HipHop on Tezos community bloomed but later on it disappeared.

Around this time on July 8th my favorite song by Jburn got away from me. Golden. It was auctioned. Before auction I wrote to Jburn and told auction could go nuts. Eventually fellow collector offered 420 tez and I couldn’t match that. To drown my sorrows, I sat on empty bar terrace and listened Golden on a repeat for 30 minutes drinking beer. Later in January ‘23 it was sold on secondary.

In late June I lost auction on Miracle. It had visual by @Bongdoe. But I actually wanted because of lyrics.

48. Actions, 16.7.2022, TEZ

Really good song by multiple music artists on Tezos. But let’s also talk about art on this one. I love @Mazamizart style! Later he would hook up with Jburn many times and deliver each time.

49. SUMS UP, 20.7.2022, TEZ

Jburn's collab with GOODFILM/Almond (@alllmund). Visuals by @Syamarahakim. He’s done many dope with music artist also later on. I was in a buying zone, so why not.

50. Outers, 21.7.2022, TEZ

Filling the collection. Old piece from the Journey album. Secondary.

51. Time's Up, 26.7.2022, TEZ

Jburn joining forces with Mr.Lakon again. Pretty dope song, I’ve been playing this quite a lot. Part of the Never Ending Album.

52. CAP, 1.8.2022, TEZ

Crypto sentiment was down in general, but I wanted more music NFTs. I actually bough quite many during the summer. For example, from @1of1neo. He had real bangers on his album called Frequencies Of A Loner. I was pretty bullish on music NFTs. So, I had to have Jburn first mint called Cap. I was able to buy it from secondary for 10 tez. I’ve often wonder whether NFT artists firs mint on blockchain will ever carry any extra value.

53. Under The Influence, 4.8.2022, TEZ

Jburn continues with the Never Ending Album. Pretty large edition but of course I had to get one. This is of many songs about weed in Jburn’s music catalog.

54. Sonic, 6.8.2022, TEZ

@Konstant_Flux did super clean and dope cover art for this piece Song is written, performed, mixed & mastered by Jburn. It was sold out immediately and has had few sales on secondary. I listed it myself as well. Later I grew to really like this song on which point I relisted my piece. I started to wonder, if I really like the song, can I sell that NFT? One of the best bangers out there.

55. The Burn (Interlude), 14.8.2022, TEZ

Now and then Jburn comes up with some kind of game to keep collectors interested. In this one you bought burn tokens (which is a cool by itself already) and later burn them to acquire new pieces. At the moment you can find a burn shop at Jburn discord. Still 224 pieces left to burn.

56. Celebration, 31.8.2022, TEZ

This was 1 Year Anniversary Mint. I would say Jburn got pretty much done in a year. There was supposed to be an anniversary concert on Twitter Space as well, but rumor has it that Jburn went out drinking and had the worst hangover so no concert. That was bit disappointing.

57. Like Love, 9.9.2022, TEZ

Such a sweet song. Cover art was with @Adeliavsaa. You can almost imagine her and Jburn being the persons on the cover art. This song shows Jburn’s versatility pretty good in my opinion. Very catchy and intense song.

58. Feel Good, 14.9.2022, TEZ

Jburn was making hit after hit at this point. Really dope song and great lyrics. This is the one you should have on your playlist. Visuals done by @Metaindreams.

59. Picante, 30.9.2022, TEZ

Very recognizable intro to this song. Jburn getting picante with the lyrics. I was enjoying collecting at this point. Jburn was finding his voice and visual by @daliesquee were spot on.

60. Combustion, 9.10.2022, TEZ

If I remember right, you could acquire this by burning those tokens. Of course, I will burn and collect. Clean visual by @EdwanEka. Song itself didn’t stick with me.

61. Self, 9.10.2022, ETH

First piece I collected on ETH. I had been using ETH over a year but didn’t really feel like collecting because of gas and lack of nice marketplaces. I don’t appreciate buying music NFTs on Opensea. I rather buy on Tezos using OBJKT. Anyway, Jburn promised 10 burn tokens etc. for anyone who buys this piece, so I got it. I actually do like the song and occasionally play it on Spotify.

62. Microphone, 15.10.2022, TEZ

Part of the Never Ending Album. I remember cover better than song itself even though song is good as well. Glitch artwork for the visual done by @Arctefact_NFT. This one has had quite many sales on secondary as well.

63. Damage, 17.10.2022, TEZ

Pretty random drop on Never Ending Album. Jburn did the visual again by himself. Edition of 65 and only 2tez. Sure, I collect (actually bought 5, can’t remember anymore why). But in larger perspective this piece doesn’t really mean that much to me, haven’t return to this one.

64. The Real One, 21.10.2022, TEZ

This one kicks right in and Jburn is dropping those beats very effectively. Gorgeous visual by @lofi_dreamz. This is what we want.

65. Light Work, 24.10.2022, SOL

Jburn’s debut on Solana. I had been on Solana already since September ’21 and I had collected some art. Gladly I had some SOL to spare as well.

Jburn chose good song for this one and I’ve grown to like it more and more. And again, one of my favorite visual collaborators @mazamizart on the visual lifting the vibes.

66. Vibes, 12.11.2022, TEZ

Jburn with softer tunes, I like this style as well. Belongs to my playlist. Also, in my opinion @Narisofka really came through with the visuals. Her art is flying of the shelves at the moment if you haven’t noticed.

It was also around this time when Jburn wrote in Discord “You want show in Europe hmmmm …100 club gets what they want”. And by 100 club he meant people who own 100 NFTs by him. He probably didn’t realize it would take only about 6 months to have first collector in that club.

67. Heady, 15.11.2022, SOL

Jburn was dropping solid track on SOL. I think he found a good flow and style with these drops. But for some reason he left Solana after 5 pieces.

68. Miami Nights, 19.11.2022, TEZ

Buy this and get music video later – that’s how this was promoted. I’m in. Nowadays this duo with @1of1neo is one of my favorite songs. Just put your headphones on, play this song and enjoy with your eyes closed. Visuals are beautiful (@Mazamizart).

69. Exclusive, 26.11.2022, TEZ

Sentiment in crypto overall and on Tezos was pretty low in November. 1$ would equal 1tez. And I wanted more NFTs. Therefore, I made offers on those songs from Micro Album I didn’t buy back in January. I really wanted the whole album. That’s the degen fan mentality kicking in.

First I got Exclusive. This is a kick-ass song and also sometimes performed by Jburn on live stream. Originally this piece was raffle among everyone who bought songs from Micro Album in January. Of course, I didn’t win back then.

70. Rising, 27.11.2022, TEZ

Lyrics are stuck to my head. I feel he really means what he is singing here. Short but forceful. I really had to have this one.

71. Emergency, 27.11.2022, TEZ

One more from Micro Album. Super cool visual by @PatrickLawler. Jburn singing about his journey again. This in under 1 minute but it doesn’t really have to be any longer. These are like short performances complimented by classy visuals. New meta in music perhaps?

72. Better Than Worst, 27.11.2022, TEZ

Still buying Micro Album. Like Rising this tells a lot about man himself. I’m still missing one piece from the Micro Album and also 1/1 from that album.

At this point I made new oncyber gallery to showcase all the collabs I have.

73. Alone, 29.11.2022, SOL

Jburn continuing his journey on SOL. @faturrrhmn on the visuals. Again, one of the pieces of art where lyrics, mood and visual go well together and form something more. I wonder how this song would sound without that visual.

74. Safe, 5.12.2022, TEZ

Jburn bouncing between two chains. Very nice drop on Tezos. I come back to this one time after time. Bad-ass cover art by @jakestudyos

75. No Friends, 11.12.2022, SOL

Jburn continuing his Solana conquer. Solid quality, smooth vibes.

76. Sonata, 16.12.2022, ETH

Drop on ETH. Duo with @Cammurdochmusic. Really nice piece overall. Old school @Bongdoe as visuals. Sadly, somehow this gets lost in the Opensea. I could imagine something like played from the big screen in a chill event where they serve you cold beer and dope vibes.

77. Win, 19.12.2022, SOL

Holders of previous NFTs on SOL were able to buy this. I like the lyrics “you thought I couldn’t do it”. As a collector it’s always great to see artist believing in oneself and saying it aloud.

78. Classic, 24.12.2022, SOL

This was a Christmas present to collector who owned “No Friends” and Alone. Pretty solid present if you ask me. If you ask me in ten years what I got for Christmas I wouldn’t probably remember, but blockchain will tell me.

79. Casual, 26.12.2022, TEZ

Low price entry edition for Jburn collection. Well, I collected this as well. Later we found out that you could burn Casual to get other pieces.

So, I ended up owning 73 NFTs by Jburn. On 31.12.2022 I tweeted

Recap of 2022 in crypto.

Best crypto: Still no idea

Best advice: Buy stuff you enjoy

Most bullish on going into 2023: Music NFTs and 1/1 art.

80. Dream, 1.1.2023, TEZ

New year, new drop. Wonderful visual are done by @DaveKiehl

81. Persistence, 5.1.2023, TEZ

Earlier I talked about “Golden” – my favorite song that got away. Another collector bought it on secondary 5.1.2023 for 1069 TEZ. My respect to @Ndoddwetrust. When other collectors buy 1/1s it surely builds FOMO.

Feeling that urge to buy 1/1, I snagged this dope 1/1 collaboration with @partyskullz My most expensive Jburn so far.

82. Crevices, 18.1.2023, ETH

It was an open edition season on ETH. Editions were dropping from left and right. Buy three and then exchange two for the next one and so on. Jburn had been producing new album Legacy Tape and it was drop time. This was the first song. I got few.

On Legacy Tape Jburn found bit darker voice and mood. Very strong songs on this album. I nowadays listen to the album as whole from Spotify. It would be really cool to see all the visual on Spotify as well.

83. Miami Nights (Music Video), 9.2.2023, TEZ

Bouncing between blockchains and this time I got music video as freebie since I earlier bought Miami Nights. It was very cool to have this one and sense little bit of that Miami vibe.

84. Higher, 12.2.2023, TEZ

It was AI season as well so Jburn teamed up with AI. Visuals were done by Jburn and AI assistance. Large edition of 50, 10 tez each. Very affordable so why not to collect. It even has a rare chorus (yeah, he doesn’t like choruses). I like it.

85. Disengage, 15.2.2023, TEZ

Super dope surprise drop for collectors. Kick ass visual by @Mazamizart.

86. Fly Away, 19.2.2023, ETH

I can’t remember any more which of the pieces from Legacy Tape I got by burning other pieces and which ones I bought. Any way I snagged three songs on a same day, and this was one of them.

87. Bitter, 19.2.2023, ETH

One of the three songs I acquired. Visual are by @devilsx666. Last collab was in October ’21.

Only later I began to value these songs and whole album more. One problem with NFTs sometimes is that you really don’t have that much time to listen to them before you buy (some might sell out if you wait too long). Furthermore, sometimes artist might be really productive so you can’t keep up with all the new songs.

88. Nation, 19.2.2023, ETH

Strong piece, strong sounds. By the way when you listen to Legacy Tape remember to turn the volume and bass up!

89. Loyalty, 22.2.2023, ETH

Forgot to mention earlier that it was also glitch-art season. I learned early on that Jburn loves that glitch. @Poptonecyber did visuals on this one as well as for the Crevices. Other songs have glitch as well. Again, this was an opportunity for me to get familiar with the glitch-art scene.

I believe that in few years’ time when we look back at this album, we see that Jburn was ahead of his time publishing whole album with visuals by contemporary artist in crypto.

90. The One, 16.3.2023, TEZ

Jburn back on Tezos and AI. He is singing he is the One. Could he be? Anyway, I do dig this song, strong lyrics and chill mood.

91. Okay Pepe, 12.4.2023, TEZ

It was just few weeks later after Okay Pepe release when $pepe coin was introduced to CT community. Even though this song has nothing to do with $pepe, it still reminds me of those crazy few weeks of meme coin season. I like the visual by @Clichedraws. Seems like a popular piece, I’m getting a lot of offers on this one.

92. Work, 15.4.2023, TEZ

I realized I didn’t have this one, so bought one. Collecting is addicting.

93. Authentic, 23.4.2023, ETH

Legacy Tape had some really good 1/1s. Some of the sold early and some are still available. I knew I needed on so ended up with Authentic. It’s a banger in my opinion. Works best when you’re driving a car and blast it off. @kinx__ made visuals on this one. I actually probably would never buy 1/1 unless it had clean visual artwork that comes with it. Furthermore I've come to realize that some of the visual artists might do better than Jburn. So buying these collab is like betting on two horses at the same time. Yes, I might sell some of these pieces later on or then not, I don't know.

94. Trying, 7.5.2023, TEZ

There was time for pixel art as well. Jburn back with the visual. More I listen to this better it gets. Sometimes they just need time. And more you listen to the song, more attached you get to your NFT.

95. 10 Sack, 12.5.2023, TEZ

Start of the mini album of four songs. AI assisted with visual. There are some new harder sounds and beats on this album. Me likes.

96. Bounce, 20.5.2023, TEZ

This one hits hard, you just need to put volume and bass up!

97. Gather Around, 25.5.2023, TEZ

I have to admit Jburn improving with visual even surely partly done by AI. Solid track.

98. Go, 26.5.2023, TEZ

There was a deal buy three first songs and get fourth for free. Of course, I had to do it.

99. Dirty & Dump, 13.6.2023, ETH

New sounds and beats, dope AI visuals, Jburn’s own favorite new song. This has it all. Should I quit here?

Epilogue

I was about write about the essence of music NFTs, but not gonna do it. You get it, don’t you? Just gonna say this ride has been worth every penny. Thank you for your music Jburn. Without NFTs I would’ve probably never heard of you. Update 21.7.2026 This write-up was first published in June ´23. After June 2023, I will have exceeded the 100 NFT threshold, but I can no longer keep track of the numbers. Should I count them?
